The team ran
Rubber to Ice this week except for Lee and Pete ran 1 race on the
studded class to see who is faster. Guess what with all the hard
work the team did with this new car Lee pulled off the fastest time
of 32.9 sec lap and beat Pete #30 by more than 1/2 lap.
Race 1 -
Les started in position 8 and took the outside
and as the Green Flag dropped Les got lots of traction to get up to
2nd place by turn 3. He took over 1st place in lap 9 and with 6 laps
to go they were in lap traffic and #27 got by Les to take the
checkered flag. Great run for the first time out with this car using
Rubber to Ice tires.
Race 2 -
Les started 4th and another good start to take
the lead by the end of the 2nd lap. He lead all the laps till he had
trouble in turn 4 when #27 got by him again but Les ran it hard into
turns 1&2 and got by #27 again to take the lead and never looked
back. Les take his 1st win in the Rubber to Ice.
Race 3-
Lee started in 8th position and got a good
start but was having trouble in turns 1 & 2 he ended up finishing in
4th place.
Race 4 -
Les started in 4th position and lead the whole
race with only 2 laps left he blew a left rear tire and ended up
finishing last. Tough break for Les.
Race 5 -
Les started back in 9th place and all day he
was getting great starts with lots of traction to get to the front
of the pack, After battling in 3rd place he got by #96 to gain
another position and now with 3 laps to go he was gaining on #27 and
passed him on the last lap to take his 2nd win of the day.
Race 6 -
Lee started 4th and fighting back and forth
with #96 he got by him and ended up finishing in 2nd place. Great
runs with a car that they never tried in the rubber class.
After the races the team
decided to see who would be the fastest driver in the Rubber to Ice
Class.
First up was Dave he got 58.0
on his first lap and then 1.08 on his sec lap
Then Johnny got behind the
wheel and got a 59.0 on his first lap then 57.2 on his sec

first lap he got 1.15 sec and then 1.11sec
Les got a 46.2 on his first
lap and a 45.0 on his sec lap
Lee got 47.2 on his first lap
and 46.9 on his sec lap

to Ice Class
The the Crew put on the
Studded tires and man what a difference in times for the guys
First up was Dave and on his
first lap he turned in a time of 45.9 sec and on his 2nd lap he
turned in a time of 45.0.
Johnny was up next but we
didn't count his time as he decided to see what the snow bank was
like
Jerome went up next and on his
1st lap he pulled off a 42.8 sec lap and on his 2nd lap he got 43.6
Don was up next and pulled off
a 45.2 sec lap and then 45.0
Les took to the track and
pulled off a 36.8 sec lap and on his sec lap he got 35.2
Lee went out like a bullet and
got 34.9 on his first lap and then 33.7
Lee had the fastest time of
the day.
After all of us took a turn at
driving Lee and Les took some of our fans out for a ride and everone
enjoyed the fast and crasy ride in the Devil Car #949.
Thanks to the McRae's for
the Great Day of Racing and the Whole racing season I know I enjoyed
it and we think we have the car dialed in, Ready for Next Season to
start. Watch out Pete we will be faster next season

Race 2 -
Les started 4th and finished 4th but had a
good time of 42.5.
Race 3 -
Lee started 2nd and finished 4th with a
time of 43.5 which wasn't fastest enough to beat Les today.

Les started Pole and finished 3rd.
Race 6 -
Lee started 2nd and finished 3rd but got the

Over all we had another fun day of racing
even thou we couldn't get the problems out of the Festiva so they
had to run the Escort today after a long week of getting new parts
for the Festiva and alot of man hours. With everyone else having 175
plus horsepower against our car with 129 horsepower the Team did
pretty good. Next race will be at St Malo Provincial Park Feb 17th
and will be on Television since it is there Festival out there that
weekend. So come on out and Enjoy a free day of racing.
Event #1 Ice Racing
Mazenod Rd in Winnipeg
JANUARY 13th - Race Day Event 1
Race 1-
Les started in 3rd position and after 3 laps
got a right front Flat Tire. He had to come in and finished last. The
Team decided to go with another set of studded tires for the front
for the next race.
Race 2 -
Lee started from the pole position and
finished a strong 2nd behind Car#30 (Pete)
Race 3 -
Les started 3rd and finished 4th with a
different studded pattern as we are still testing the studs out for
this track.
Race 4 -
Lee started pole position again and within a
few laps he pasted Car#30 (Pete) in corner 6 to take the lead. Great
race as Doug in Car #9SX was closing in but Lee held him off to take
1st place.
Race 5 -
Les started 2nd and was battling for first
place but wasn't able to get by Doug and had to settle for 2nd.
Another good race for the team.
Race 6 -
Lee started pole with Doug on the outside and
beat him into the corner 1 and got a good run down the straight away
to take the lead and never looked back. It was close all the
way and I think it was the best race of the day.
The Team got 2 wins, 2- 2nd place, 2 - 4th
Place finishes. Alot of hard work by the Team to get thru this
weekend but we will get the other car ready and then we will see
some speed.
JANUARY 12th - Test & Tune
Well it was a disappointing day with the new car. After all the
hard work we did the past 8 weeks building the car from scratch we
got 12 laps out of her and the front axle snap-off. Since the axles
are hand made to fit the car we had to take it back to the race shop
and take the motor out to get the transmission out so we could put
our last years Ice racer back together which was a 7 hr job saturday
afternoon till late that night so we could race on sunday. It was
alot of work but we got it done.
