Disadvantages of
being in the pits!
- Once the event starts, you
can't leave the race track in most cases. Only for
extreme emergencies will the track staff let you
leave the track until the race is over. Keep that in
mind if you are a Doctor or something like that
where you might have to leave in a hurry.
- If you don't have
facilities of your own, the restrooms at most tracks
are not adequate for the number of fans that attend.
Long lines are the norm.
- There is no fast way out
of the pits when the event is over. Plan to stay a
while and tailgate. Even if you are at the entrance,
the pits at most tracks are not cleared before the
outside parking areas, so it will take a while to
get out!
- That is about all the
disadvantages I can come up with.
If you attend a race track in
your area every year, try buying a pass to the pits,
just once! Experience the race from the pits and you
will agree with the other "Pit Racers" that it's more
fun in the pits! Try it, you'll see!
